Starting from December 17, 2024, eligible foreign travelers can enjoy a visa-free stay of up to 240 hours (10 days) when transiting through China. Travelers can enter China from any of the 60 ports of entry open to the outside world in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) of China and stay in the specified area for activities not exceeding 240 hours.
China’s 240 hour transit visa free policy has expanded to 54 countries that are included in the table below:

Ordinary passport holders from 38 countries to try out visa-free policy. Citizens of these countries may engage in activities such as doing business, traveling and sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, exchanging visits, and transit in China for a maximum of 30 days.
