Pingle Ancient Town (More):  is really a super place to relax! It’s in Qionglai City (Sichuan Province) and has a long history, almost 2,000 years. It’s not quite the same as other ancient towns, the biggest highlight is the natural scenery. Ancient town is surrounded by green hills and green water, the town centre and a white foam river flows through, the whole environment is particularly peaceful, there is a kind of ‘paradise’ feeling. There is a thousand-year-old street in the town, both sides are the kind of old houses in western Sichuan, green tiles and white walls, very charming. Another great thing is Pingle’s tea culture, there are many teahouses along the river in the town, sit down and order a pot of tea, watching the river slowly flow by, it’s really super pleasant! Especially in summer, listening to the sound of the water and blowing the wind, feel particularly comfortable.

Chengdu - Pingle Ancient Town - Chengdu

The guide would pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu and take you to Pingle Ancient Town. The whole journey is 96 kilometers and takes about 2 hours. After arriving, you could visit Wenchang Palace.

Then, you could take a boat tour of Pingle River, enjoy the scenery on both sides of the river. Participate in local traditional crafts such as pottery making and paper umbrella making. After the tour, the tour guide would send you back to Chengdu. You could arrange your own activities or experience the local nightlife with the tour guide.
