To get to Mount Emei from Chengdu, you have several transportation options. Mount Emei is a famous Buddhist mountain located approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Chengdu. Here are the most common ways to reach Mount Emei:
Bus:
Take a bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station (新南门汽车站) or Moziqiao Bus Station (磨子桥汽车站) to Mount Emei directly. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 2-3 hours.
Private Car or Taxi:
You can hire a private car or take a taxi from Chengdu to Mount Emei. This option offers more convenience and flexibility, but it can be more expensive compared to public transportation.
High-speed Train:
Take a train from Chengdu to Mount Emei. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes around 1-2 hours. From Emeishan City, you can take a local bus or a taxi to the Mount Emei scenic area, which is only about 4 Kilometers away. Remember! Get off at Mount Emei Station instead of Emei City Station.
