The Ten-Mile River Beach plays a crucial role in the wetland ecosystem, serving functions such as water retention, flood control, climate regulation, and environmental improvement. The area is a treasure trove of biological resources, harboring seven nationally and provincially protected plant species, including camphor, beech, sandalwood, submerged sea cabbage flower, ginkgo, peony, and Eucommia. Additionally, it is home to five nationally protected wildlife species, namely the Chinese giant salamander (locally known as “baby fish”), peregrine falcon, red falcon, rock carp, and spotted golden-line barbel. The picturesque landscape of the Ten-Mile River Beach is characterized by surrounded peaks, bamboo-lined shores, scattered islets, murmuring waterfalls, and vibrant aquatic life. Visitors can also enjoy cultural landmarks such as water wheels, mills, granaries, and more.
Parque Huaxi
Another noteworthy area is Huaxi Park, which has a rich history dating back to 1939. Originally named “Zhongzheng Park,” it was completed in 1940 under the supervision of Wu Dingchang, the then-president of the Guizhou Provincial Government. Later renamed Huaxi Park in 1949, it became an integral part of Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park in December 2009. Huaxi Park adds a historical and cultural dimension to the overall park experience, offering visitors a tranquil setting with lush greenery and charming pathways.
Dajiangshan Scenic Area
