Arrival in Dali

Arrive at Dali and check into your hotel. After a short rest, start your exploration with a visit to Dali Ancient Town, one of China’s best-preserved Bai ethnic ancient cities.
The streets in Dali Ancient City are suitable for walking, where children can see the traditional Bai architecture and experience the handicraft making in the ancient city, such as colour painting and pottery. In the squares of the ancient city, there are often performances and activities that children can participate in to experience the historical and cultural atmosphere of Dali. Enjoy local specialties such as “Po Su Ba Ba” (crispy rice cakes) and “Er Si” (rice noodles) while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the ancient town.

Cangshan Mountain and Xizhou Ancient Town

Take the kids on the Cangshan Ropeway and climb to the top of Cangshan Mountain overlooking the Erhai Sea and Dali Old Town. There are several attractions on Cangshan Mountain where kids can breathe fresh alpine air and experience the fun of outdoor adventure. In winter, snow sometimes accumulates on Cangshan Mountain and children can play with it. Head to Xizhou Ancient Town, known for its well-preserved Bai architecture and traditional culture. Explore the quaint streets and learn about Bai crafts. Try local dishes in Xizhou, such as Xizhou Baba (a type of stuffed flatbread), and enjoy the serene setting.

Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple and Butterfly Spring

The Three Pagodas of Dali are a symbol of Dali's history and culture, and children can visit this ancient complex to admire the magnificent tower architecture.
