Predominantly inhabited by the Miao ethnic group, this area boasts an elevation of over 1612 meters, making it one of the highest regions in Guiyang City. The grassland features a unique climate, with a north-south mountain range creating a vast open area with a distinct grassland flavor.

The annual average temperature hovers around 15°C. During the coldest months, temperatures range from -5°C to 0°C, giving rise to the peculiar natural spectacle of a “snowy expanse.” Even in the hottest month, July, the average temperature remains between 20°C and 22°C, making it a typical cool summer retreat.

Yunding Grass Field offers well-equipped facilities, including a 2-kilometer motorway, 12 yurts, a comprehensive performance hall, a restaurant, and several supporting structures, capable of hosting hundreds of visitors simultaneously.
