Qingshan Lake (青山湖), located in Lin’an District, Hangzhou, is a large artificial lake covering an area of 64.5 square kilometers, with a water area of 10 square kilometers. Formed by the accumulation of water from Tianmu Mountain, Qingshan Lake resembles a piece of jade embedded in the lush mountains. The northern part of the lake boasts a rare water forest spanning 1 million square meters, consisting of fir trees introduced from the Amazon in the 1960s. With trees growing in the water, boats navigating through the forest, birds chirping on the branches, and visitors strolling along the picturesque scenery, Qingshan Lake offers a delightful experience for travelers.

Qingshan Lake is located approximately 5 kilometers east of Lin’an District in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. To reach Qingshan Lake by subway, you can take Line 16 to Qingshanhu Station (青山湖站) and exit from either Exit C or Exit D, then walk to the destination. Alternatively, you can take bus Lin’an 805 or Lin’an 8805 from Lin’an East Bus Station to Nishawan Stop (泥山湾站) and walk from there to reach the lake.

Surrounded by verdant mountains with diverse peaks, Qingshan Lake exhibits a captivating natural landscape. The intertwining hills create a harmonious environment, with mountains like Gongsan and Moshan facing each other across the lake, exuding a sense of affection. Gongsan, the highest peak in the lake area at an elevation of 310 meters, provides the best vantage point for mountain climbing and sightseeing. The lush pine and bamboo forests, shrouded in mist, offer a tranquil atmosphere. From the northern side, visitors can admire Qinsan Mountain, characterized by gentle curves, Heshan Mountain with its graceful contours, and the towering pagoda piercing the sky. Looking down at the lake, one can see boats traversing the water, while the hills resonate with the sound of wind rustling through the pines, creating a serene ambiance.
Lush Vegetation
The lake area is rich in flora, with abundant pine, Chinese fir, bamboo, tea plantations, as well as citrus, bayberry, peach, and plum orchards. In spring, azaleas bloom in abundance, while peaches and plums emit fragrant aromas. During summer, bayberries ripen to a vibrant red. In autumn, citrus fruits turn golden yellow. The lush vegetation and vibrant fruits add vitality to the landscape, creating a scene of abundance and vitality.
Diversos Entretenimentos
The primary way to explore Qingshan Lake is by boat. Tickets for boat rides can be purchased at the Qinsan and Shenghe piers on the southern side of the lake. Visitors can choose between traditional paddle boats and yachts for their voyage. There is no time limit for onshore exploration, and visitors can continue their boat journey upon presenting their ticket.
Near the Shenghe Pier, there is a bustling barbecue garden on the grassy lawn, attracting visitors from neighboring cities for barbecue gatherings. Visitors can rent barbecue equipment and tents from stalls and purchase ingredients on-site for a fee. Additionally, there is a floating stage on the lake near the Qinsan Pier, where performances featuring clowns and Thai ladyboys are held (approximately 50 yuan per person), offering entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
