Chongqing is an ancient city with over 3,000 years of history, where the city walls, alleys, and gates reflect its rich heritage. As Chongqing has developed, many alleys and city gates have disappeared in their original forms, yet they remain cherished memories for the older generations. Those that still exist easily resonate with modern people. Exploring the Chongqing of memory has become a popular pastime in contemporary life.

Ciqikou(Mais): located 14 kilometers west of Chongqing, this area was once a crucial water and land transportation hub during the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 to 1911). Its history dates back over 1,700 years. Here, you’ll find 14 ancient stone-paved streets lined with traditional-style houses and shops. Notable attractions include teahouses, local artists’ studios, and Shu embroidery workshops. In this charming town, there are hundreds of unique teahouses to explore.

Liziba (More)： is such a fascinating place! Imagine stepping into a lively neighborhood where an elevated monorail gracefully weaves through residential buildings—it’s like the perfect blend of modern engineering and daily life. The energy there is contagious, and the views are just stunning; you really feel the heartbeat of Chongqing!

Ciqikou - Second Factory Cultural and Creative Park - Liziba - Nanshan Tree Viewing Platform - Chongqing World Financial Center

Start your day in the morning at the mouth of the Ciqikou and immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of old Chongqing. At the end of the tour pass by Beilin Museum and Futu Guan Station ending at the Second Factory Cultural and Creative Park approximately 1.8 kilometers.

Arrive at Liziba Station to experience the city's innovative monorail. After that, head to Nanshan Tree Viewing Platform. You can also visit Laojundong Pagoda at the top of the hill. Next, arrive at Shangxin Street and take the Yangtze River Ropeway.

End the day at Chongqing World Financial Center. After the tour, the guide would send you back. You can arrange your own activities or experience the local nightlife with the tour guide.
