Li Bing and his son constructed it to prevent frequent flooding of the Min River, saving Chengdu from disaster. After years of effort, the system was completed and remains crucial today, still managing floods, irrigating farmland, and supplying water to over 50 cities in Sichuan. Standing at Dujiangyan, you can witness how this ancient project masterfully controls the Min River’s flow.

O Jiuzhaigou (More) e Huanglong National Nature Reserves(More) were added to the UNESCO Natural Heritage List in 1992. It is famous for its crystal clear pools, waterfalls, pristine forests, karst landscapes, snow-capped mountains and unique Sichuan-Tibet culture.
