Visa-free entry does not mean that you can stay or reside in the treaty country indefinitely. According to the requirements of the agreement, after entering the country without a visa, you are generally only allowed to stay for no more than 30 days. If the holder of the relevant passport needs to stay for more than 30 days, he/she should apply for residence procedures in the local area as soon as possible.
The text of the relevant agreement can be found in the treaty database on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. (http://treaty.mfa.gov.cn/web/index.jsp)
