Duyun Qin and Han Studio City – Ticket, Opening Hours, Location, and Highlights

Duyun Qin and Han Studio City (都匀秦汉影视城) is a comprehensive film and television industry project that integrates the creation and production of film and television dramas, cultural tourism, interactive experiences, production and leasing of ancient costumes, leisure sightseeing, holiday tourism, and cultural tourism industries. Comprising 230 buildings across six different areas, this project meticulously follows historical records and expert research to recreate the architectural grandeur of the Qin and Han dynasties.

Themed as “Dreaming Back to Chang’an,” the Qin and Han Studio City covers an expansive area of 160,000 square meters, with a maximum length of 790 meters and a width of nearly 530 meters. The Imperial Palace area includes significant structures like the Weiyang Palace, Changle Palace, Yaochi (Jade Pond), and an imperial altar within the royal forest. The Outer City area features major streets such as Chang’an Street, Zhuque Avenue, and Fudi Avenue. Along Fudi Avenue, three major royal residences stand tall: Hengshan Wang Mansion, Grand Marshal Mansion, and Huainan Wang Mansion. The district also includes the Princess Mansion, county yamen (government office), prison, royal stables, and more. Commercial zones like East Market, West Market, entertainment districts, inns, restaurants, and various types of residences are spread throughout the city.

The centerpiece, Xuan Shi Palace, occupies an area of 8,136 square meters, measuring 102 meters in length, 91 meters in width, and standing at an impressive height of 41.5 meters. It boasts a length of 80 meters, a width of 44 meters, and a main body height of 31.5 meters. The square in front of the palace spans approximately 26,000 square meters. Xuan Shi Palace served as the main building of Weiyang Palace Complex, where emperors discussed state affairs with their close advisors during the Han Dynasty. It hosted significant events such as the emperor’s enthronement, court sessions with ministers, and major royal ceremonies. Another significant structure is Cheng Ming Palace, the second-largest palace in Qin and Han Studio City, covering an area of 12,330 square meters. This was the place where emperors wrote books and reviewed official documents.
