Mount Qingcheng(more): Imagine this: You’re heading up one of China’s most important Taoist mountains, the very same place that inspired the peaceful, idyllic panda village in Kung Fu Panda 3! That’s right, Mount Qingcheng. Lush, forest-covered peaks, ancient temples, and a sense of serenity in every step.

Once you arrive, you hop on an electric cart that zips you up to the entrance—super convenient! From there, you start exploring the highlights of the mountain: beautiful temples, charming pavilions, and peaceful scenic spots. The hike up to Yuecheng Lake is a bit of a workout but totally worth it.

And if you’re like me and love a good view without too much effort, you can take the cable car to Shangqing Palace. This incredible temple complex sits at around 3,280 feet above sea level. It’s got this quiet, almost sacred vibe, with temples dating back to the Jin Dynasty (yeah, we’re talking over a thousand years old), and an ancient ginkgo tree that feels like it’s seen centuries of history.
